Rabbi Yosef Kleiner is the rabbi of Kehilat Moreshet Avraham, in Talpiyot Mizrah, Jerusalem, since 2014.
Born in Argentina, he came on alyiah in 1998 together with his wife Susana and their three children Amir, Nathalie and Uri. He pursued his rabbinical studies at the Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano, center of the Conservative Judaism in Latin America, and at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem. In 1993 he got his semikhah, Rabbinical Ordination.
Some years before, in 1989, Rabbi Kleiner got his MA in Psychology at the Buenos Aires University. He holds also a first degree in Jewish Studies and in Teaching of Jewish Learning from the Abarbanel Institute of the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano.
For the last 30 years, Rabbi Kleiner has served in congregations in Argentina, Chile, France and Israel. He has also been Scholar in Residence in several congregations in the US, Sweden, France, Spain, Chile, Argentina and all over Israel.
He speaks Hebrew, English Spanish, French and Israeli Sign Language and has a wide knowledge of Halakhah and its development, Talmud, Midrash, Biblical exegesis and Jewish Thought.
